I want my hair to stay on the side of the head, so my forehead will have no bangs but my hair line will be parted more to the side. I'm going to my friends birthday part tomorrow, and I want to curl my hair - but I'm getting my hair washed in 3 days, so I don't want to wash it tonight, and then was it again 3 days later. i am a male with SHORT hair, but when i put wax in i use ALOT. thats because i dont think a small 10 cent piece * or dyme whatever * will be enough for me. what is the proper AMMOUNT and propper way to use wax, just like celebrities and models do. to get there perfect hair, for me i though more was best way to sculp it but i guess not. do i do it bits at a time or WHAT?

Hey, so I was wondering if anybody might have any tips or product ideas that might help me. I am a 20 year old guy and I have pretty medium length hair, whenever it dries it gets all frizzy and just looks dry. I have always used gel to make it do what I want but I would like to not have to use it all the time. So any ideas how I could make my hair more moist maybe softer and manageable would be great! I'm not sure if there are certain products that would help or if leave in conditioner would work or what. Honestly, I almost stop listening to the radio altogether. I was listening to some old stuff and all the beats are so good and catchy. Now all we got is crappy stuff. Even Usher has to change his style to those techno-ish crap. OMG is his worst single ever. Same with Enrique with that crap song that is climbing on the chart and Eminem collaborating with Lil Wayne out of all people. The story of Lady Gaga, when you get down to the details of her life, is the story of an upper-middle class girl from New York City who really wanted to become famous and, ultimately, did. Lady Gaga herself, and profiles of her like the one written by Grigoriadis, perpetuate a different story—a Myth of Gaga—in which her fame becomes a reflection of the nature of celebrity itself. This is why Lady Gaga tells obvious lies like her claim to the AP in 2009 that she “always dressed” like she dresses now. Really, Gaga? I’m pretty sure dressing like that would get you arrested. But according to Rob Fusari—who, granted, is not the best source, since he is suing Lady Gaga for $30 million by claiming he crafted her image—that look was decidedly contrived: She liked leggings and sweatshirts, maybe with a shoulder out. “A couple times, she came to the studio in sweatpants, and I said, ‘Really, Stef?’” says Fusari. “‘What if I had Clive Davis in here today? I should call the session right now. Prince doesn’t pick up ice cream at the 7-Eleven looking like Chris Rock. You’re an artist now. You can’t turn this on and off.’” Now, I’m not really inclined to take Fusari’s claim that he helped shape Lady Gaga’s image at face value, but I’m much more willing to believe the “leggings and sweatpants” story than the “chains and bondage outfits” story. After all, she seemed pretty normal in her 2005 appearance on Boiling Points. Fusari’s account also fits the pattern the New York story establishes, of Gaga as someone willing to manipulate everything about her career in order to be famous. Originally, she wanted to be a rock star, modeling herself on John Lennon and Freddy Mercury; but when dance music proved to be a more likely path to success, she made the switch. If she’s willing to change musical styles for fame, then she’s probably willing to change her wardrobe. Indeed, the more facts that come out about Lady Gaga, the more the Myth of Gaga seems to be quite obviously an act: She claims to have been an outcast growing up, even though, according to one classmate: “She was always popular. I don’t remember her experiencing any social problems.” She claims to be a bisexual and to have been addicted to cocaine, even though none of her friends can recall a relationship with another woman, or even seeing her use cocaine. There is nothing inherently wrong with a musician fabricating a persona that is obviously an act. After all, John Lennon said things to the media that were deliberately controversial; Bob Dylan was intentionally and repeatedly cryptic and antagonistic in interviews; the diva to whom Gaga is most often compared, Madonna, rarely did anything that wasn’t consciously calculated. The difference, though, is that there was a raison dêtre behind the behavior of the other acts: Lennon felt obligated to use his platform to voice certain ideals, Dylan was trying to break the conception that the public had of him, and Madonna wanted to be consistently provocative. Lady Gaga, however, seems to perpetuate the Myth of Gaga only because she herself is not interesting. It’s more reminiscent of Vanilla Ice’s phony story about attending an all-black high school than anything else: A lie meant only for the sake of attracting more attention. As far as I can tell, this desire for attention is the only guiding force behind Lady Gaga’s antics. She wears ridiculous outfits so people will look at her; she says contradictory and inflammatory things so people will talk about her; she responds to rumors directly and repeatedly so they stay in the news; she adopts causes and movements so that people will feel loyal to her and take her seriously. I like simple clothes, basically like the stuff sold at Gap and Banana Republic. I'm not a fan of bright colors or crazy patterns, and I tend to wear black, white, or navy, and if I do wear colors, they're usually very subdued. I hate tight fitting clothes and prefer a "relaxed" look. I LOVE cardigans and blazers. I tend to wear timeless pieces like simple tees, cardigans, blazers, etc but then add some modern touches like long silver necklaces/pendants and big earrings. I can't really think of any celebrities that have that type of style, or what even the style is called! It seems kinda preppy but at the same time, it's not. Any criticism would be helpful. I'll copy and paste it here... Visual Kei (Visual Style), VK for short, is a form of Japanese Rock fashion that revolves around modern rock culture in Japan. This male dominated form of fashion is not about the misconceived notion of becoming drag queens but rather looking like beautiful guys. However, despite general belief, this fashion has nothing to do with the type of music that these artists choose to play. VK musicians play many types of rock including, metal, alternative, melodic, and symphonic rock. Visual Kei has some million fans in America. With so many fans in the US you may ask, ‘Why does not’t this show in mainstream media?’ Americans who are not fans of this genre may say that it’s weird and “uncool”. However, in the words of the visual kei and metal artist Mirai Kawashima of the band Sigh, “It’s not meant to be cool.” I remember being attracted to the visual kei and pop rock artist Gackt when I was 12 years old. I just ran up on his song Redemption while watching random videos on YouTube and that was the end of it. I fell in love with this man and his voice. I was never a fan of pop music of any kind but the way he presented his song with such elegance and power just made my eyes and ears melt. Never once did I think that Gackt seemed feminine, I just saw beauty. When I eventually became a dedicated fan or a “Dear” as he calls us, as many Americans advertise their favorite performers, I did mine. When my friends saw him for the first time, they thought him a girl and possibly homosexual. When my family discovered my newfound fandom, they thought that something was mentally wrong with me. I then started searching for internet communities that were “Dears” of Gackt and other VK artists. I only found a few. The people would generally say that people, for various reasons, had trouble accepting their tastes as well. That’s when I realized that not many, if anybody, would understand this art. America, being the melting pot of all cultures from all countries, would never be able to understand VK less long accept it into mainstream culture. My journey deeper into VK would lead me to find that some musicians will make you want to dance like Antic Café and SuG, some artists ease your mind into meditation like Acid Black Cherry and Rentrer en Soi, and some bands such as Dir en Grey and The GazettE purposely awaken the hidden anger in your soul. Rock may be able to awaken anger but it was never meant to make people dance or meditate. Despite this, these bands were able to make people around the world do such things while using the universal language of music as their vessel. Many of these artists can speak and/or sing in three or more different languages. Many can play five, maybe six instruments and often times record their own songs instead of relying on recording bands. The dialect of visual kei allows the individual artist to explore different angles of their style and memorize the crowd not matter what. But the American senses are adjusted to the computerized, oversexed, and oover-hypedimages of the celebrities and superstars of the media. Not to say that there is no talent among American media, but the demand of the hype has sucked the senses dry. Most American celebrities are mere advertisements of themselves and whoever else they decide to sell themselves to. Visual Kei artists see themselves as artists first and then performers, storytellers, and mostly subtle, occasionally provocative, eye-candy. Advertisements are dead last on the list. There’s no doubt that celebrities are the face of the modern people but not all can actually move a person’s emotions. The American people have lost its ability to understand this and therefore, the ideology, work, and talent behind visual kei is a foreign concept. Visual Kei in American mainstream media would involve raping VK of these concepts. In order for VK to exist as it should be, it must stay in the American underground.
